LOCATION

The symposium will take place on the Vaihingen Campus of the University of Stuttgart, Universitätsstraße 32.
The symposium dinner will be in the Electrical Engineering building, Pfaffenwaldring 47.

Travel by plane

From the airport Stuttgart-Echterdingen (STR):
Take the S-Bahn (local train, directly below the airport terminal) S2 or S3 in the direction “Hauptbahnhof” (main station) and get out at the 7th stop, “Universität”. This takes about 15 minutes.  Once arrived at the station “Universität”, please take the exit marked “Universitätszentrum”. From there it is a two-minute walk. 

From Frankfurt airport (FRA):
The train station is directly next to the airport terminal. There are frequent high-speed trains to Stuttgart main station (approx. 75 mins). From there you can take the S-Bahn (local train) to get to the station “Universität“. Leave the S-Bahn station in the direction marked “Universitätszentrum”. From there it is a two-minute walk

Travel by train

From Stuttgart main station (Hauptbahnhof), take the S-Bahn (local train) S1, S2 or S3 in the direction Herrenberg, Flughafen / Airport, Vaihingen or Filderstadt and get out at the 4th stop, “Universität”. This takes about ten minutes. Leave the S-Bahn station in the direction marked “Universitätszentrum”. From there it is a two-minute walk.

Travel by car

At the junction Stuttgart-Vaihingen, follow the road to Stuttgart, take the second exit “Universität”, then follow the signs. Please note that it is very difficult to find parking spaces on or near the university campus – we encourage you to use public transport!
